About Helping Hands Outreach
Our Mission
Helping Hands Outreach is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in Estill County by addressing vital needs within the community. Our mission focuses on empowering individuals and families to overcome challenges and create brighter futures.
We respond to natural disasters by providing immediate assistance and support to affected families, ensuring they have the resources needed to recover and rebuild. Through our Backpack Program, we supply children with school supplies and backpacks.
Our Summer Food Program ensures that children continue to receive healthy meals when school is out, preventing hunger during the summer months. We also provide support for the homeless population, offering essential resources and services to help individuals find stable housing and regain their independence.
Additionally, we offer assistance for those struggling with substance use disorders, connecting them to resources and support networks that promote recovery and healing.

At Helping Hands Outreach, we are committed to supporting individuals and families facing food insecurity. We understand that these are challenging times, and our mission is to provide assistance to those in need while fostering hope and compassion within our community.
To ensure that we serve everyone fairly and maintain accurate records, we require each household to complete an application for food assistance. This process allows us to understand each family’s needs and to allocate our available resources responsibly.
Please note that our ability to assist depends on the availability of food and supplies, which are limited and based on donations received. While we strive to help as many as possible, we may not be able to fulfill every request.
